Killing a boss you outgear by two tiers is nothing special progress wise of course, but this was still quite a milestone for us - and not because of the
palindrome date! We never felt it was the right time for Yogg+0, especially after Anub wore us down and all the new stuff to keep us busy. So the biggest challenge by far was mustering up the motivation to go back to Ulduar and head bang this fight.
When we figured it was now or never, our biggest enemy turned out to be
lag and the realization how unforgiving this fight still is when confronted with it. While one try was rocksolid and resulted in an 8% wipe due to random reasons, the next was in slow motion or we'd have big spikes freezing us on the spot (only to notice a forest of tentacles was waiting for us or having chain gazes when being able to move again). Being close to a kill for two resets and having such unpredictable server lag was disheartening to say the least. How we managed to keep going and not just give up is beyond me, but I am very happy we finally have the 'three in a row' server spam.
Thanks to everyone for hanging in there and closing the Ulduar chapter. Apologies to all the familymembers, girl/boyfriends, stuffed animals, keyboards and pets who had to endure the outbursts of frustrations during our lag infested tries.
